A lawyer by profession, Ms. Huggins’ diverse and impactful career journey has been all about finding ways to combine legal expertise with her commitment to protecting economic value and helping her clients get difficult jobs done.
Early Career: Between college and law school, Ms. Huggins built a strong foundation in business and financial principles by working as a Project Coordinator for the Securities and Corporate Group at a law firm. During and immediately after law school, she focused on providing representation for the underprivileged.
Private Law Practice: After a year in public interest law practice, Ms. Huggins transitioned into private practice at a high asset divorce litigation firm. There, she worked in a team environment with professional clients who depended heavily on Ms. Huggins’ talent for presenting complex information in a relatable manner to produce record-breaking awards in court. It was in this setting that Ms. Huggins’ got her “real-life PhD” in protecting economic value.
Real Estate: Upon moving back home to North Carolina, Ms. Huggins obtained her North Carolina law license as well as her real estate license and after taking time off to raise young children, she was privileged to reenter the workforce as a full-time commercial real estate broker.
Currently, Ms. Huggins puts her legal background, her good humor, and her breadth of skill to their highest and best use everyday, easily handling lease negotiations and working out deals for her retail, land, and industrial clients. Mrs. Huggins can also be found cooking dinner with her husband, enjoying time with her family, playing cards and pickleball, and working on home improvement projects.
