As a Vice Chairman with Newmark, Jeremy Ezra possesses strong expertise in the representation of retail tenants as well as Food & Beverage concepts in markets throughout the U.S. Based in New York City, Ezra focuses primarily on assisting retailers in their strategic expansions both regionally and nationally.
Ezra has represented Adidas and Reebok in several high-profile national lease transactions around the U.S., since 2010, including flagship stores on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica and Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles among numerous other leases. He also arranged Reebok’s U.S. flagship store in Union Square and Adidas’ first Brooklyn store as well as the SoHo relocation of the Originals brand to 115 Spring Street.
He also exclusively represents lululemon athletica in the New York metro area and has completed more than 20 leases on its behalf exclusively since 2011 – for its flagship store on Fifth Avenue, in addition to stores in Hudson Yards, The Shops at Columbus Circle, Flatiron, SoHo, Westport and Greenwich Connecticut and 3 locations in Brooklyn.
In New York City, Ezra is the exclusive representative of Chick-fil-A and has assisted the quick service chain enter and expand in the market since 2011. To date, he has arranged twelve leases in Manhattan, as well as the first ever Chick-fil-A locations in Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx.
In greater New York City, Ezra and his partners have secured several high profile flagship locations for Capital One Café, including the most prominent corner in Herald Square as well as corners in Midtown east across from Bloomingdale’s and in Columbus Circle and Union Square.
Ezra has represented several Amazon physical retail formats exclusively in the NY market and to date has secured nearly 20 locations on their behalf for brands including Amazon Go, Amazon Books and Amazon 4 Star.
Luxury fitness brand Peloton has relied on Ezra for all of its retail requirements in malls, lifestyle centers and street locations. After arranging 55 leases throughout North America, he is now focused on securing new opportunities in New York City.
In New York, Ezra is actively working on requirements for Lucid, AWAY Luggage, Superdry, Express, Din Tai Fung, Purple Mattress and looking for sites for several concepts under the Gordon Ramsay North America group in New York. Nationally, Ezra is securing urban locations for contemporary brand Rails, high-end mall and street locations for British based watch retailer Watches of Switzerland, and street and mall locations for exciting home brand Parachute.
For many years Ezra represented home furnishing retailer Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams and handled the brand’s national roll-out. He secured nearly 20 leases, including in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania; Beverly Hills, California; Houston, Texas; Miami, Florida; Scottsdale, Arizona; Paramus, New Jersey; and Manhasset, New York.
Previously, Ezra represented IT’SUGAR throughout the U.S. and was responsible for arranging more than 30 leases on the brand’s behalf.
A 22-year veteran of the real estate industry, Ezra joined Newmark in 2018, when parent company Newmark Group, Inc. acquired RKF Holdings, LLC and its subsidiaries. Ezra had most recently been a Vice Chairman in RKF’s New York headquarters since 2005. Prior to RKF, Ezra was a real estate manager for Ann Taylor, where he was responsible for site selection and real estate management throughout the U.S. In this position, he completed transactions in malls, lifestyle centers, outlets and on the streets of top central business districts in more than 30 states. Previously, he was a leasing representative and a member of the initial team scouting real estate in Canada for The Children’s Place.
Ezra is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and the Croton-on-Hudson Economic Development Committee.
