Jeremy Symons has been with Cooke & Arkwright since 1983 and is now a Director. He is involved with the Property Agency Department, handling lettings and sales of industrial premises.
He has a specific role in dealing with agency advice relating to factory and warehouse accommodation. He provides advice on both acquisition and sale of freehold, leasehold and short term lettings. His geographical spread of expertise covers most parts of Wales, more specifically dealing with south and south-east Wales industrial areas between Chepstow and Carmarthen, and north to Brecon.
In the recent past he has dealt with a full range of instructions from the sale of 120,000 sq ft in the Heads of the Valleys, the letting of over 200,000 sq ft at Chepstow, and overseeing developments of small units in Bridgend, Cardiff, Newport and Cwmbran.
He has acted for both landlords and tenants and written submissions to Arbitrators and Independent Experts, as well as appearing in Court as an Expert Witness. During the 1980s and 1990s, he handled all Cooke & Arkwright’s security valuations and has significant experience in understanding banks’ requirements. He also has in depth experience of landlord & tenant relationships and the legal framework surrounding rent reviews and lease renewals.
Jeremy has 25 years’ experience of dealing with commercial property and is well placed to advise on almost all aspects of the management of such property, over and above the standard sale and letting role.
