Bio
I am fully committed to assisting our clients and customers to achieve their commercial real estate goals, which, in most cases are their most valuable assets, their business’s and their commercial real estate investments. Our success results from a strong and clear commitment to provide the very highest level of service possible. We focus on providing personal service very quickly and will meet with an interested party or show a property often within 10 minutes of receiving an inquiry. We make this happen through our team philosophy and focus on providing personal service. To provide our clients and customers with the most exposure we list our properties in all of the Commercial Databases like CoStar as well as the MLS [mostly residential]. This enables everyone, be they an agent or customer access to view our exclusively listed properties. Our marketing services do not stop there, we personally meet each and every prospective customer and show them your property [no lock boxes], our signage is the most visible and professional, weekly advertising in area newspapers, targeted mailings, open house events when appropriate and the list of services goes on and on, including personally visiting and distributing information to all of the surrounding business in proximity to our exclusive listings. People and relationships are truly what I think this business is all about. From the very beginning I’ve valued and concentrated on helping all of the people I meet daily. Some of these people are serious and want to act right away and others are “just kicking tires” and very close to me are the members of my team at LB Commercial Realty. I do all that I can to give all my very best, every day. Not only do I work with each member of the team but have also provided an excellent training program that we all work through in order to grow and develop our commercial real estate skills. I had the pleasure of taking my team and their wives on a cruise to Bermuda in 2007 as a reward for reaching our goals. How I got started/financed the business: I began as a sales agent on Feb. 1, 1990 and realized that I needed more services and support than my broker was willing to provide. I liked this business, saw a void in the market place, believed in my self and my future partner's knowledge and work ethic and decided to open LB Commercial Realty. My former partner and I borrowed the seed monies that we thought would be needed to get started. My friend and former partner Frank Latinis, moved to “The Big Island” Hawaii in 2004 after 14 great years working together. Key to success: Focus hard work, luck and timing and don't worry about making a mistake. Competitive strategy: Find your niche, become an expert in your field, strive to offer the best product or service that you can. Recent awards/honors: LB Commercial Realty is always listed in the top 50 Commercial Real Estate Firms in NJ, in NJBIZ. The Record has published several articles about LB Commercial Realty. What I love about my business: As a broker, I find the greatest satisfaction in helping people. Each business and each client is in a different industry or niche business. Small business is the backbone of our economy and Bergen County and my market area is comprised of very many small businesses. Everyday is fresh and exciting. Leasing and selling commercial properties is challenging as there are usually 4 parties [attorneys as well as owners and tenants/buyers] or more to communicate with in every transaction. The rewards come when the job is successfully completed, and everyone in the deal thanks you for knowing how to get to the finish line. In the roll of President, I enjoy being the leader, motivator and the challenge of finding better ways to enhance and build LB Commercial Realty. What I hate: Negative people, those who say no, easily and often. Advice to someone starting a business: Begin only when you are already very knowledgeable about the business, marketplace and competition. Errors can be painful and costly. Be ready to make mistakes and accept the outcome, but do make those mistakes once your knowledgeable about your chosen business. Where I go to network for lunch: I have lunch at my desk most days, once a week I attend my Rotary Club lunch meeting at Taste of Spain in Northvale. When meeting with Clients, Customers I choose one of several excellent local places [Dimora, Harvest, Roman Café, etc.]. Family Information: My wife Louise and I have enjoyed each other's company for over 40 years. Mitchell, our oldest son, is an attorney, with Jackson Lewis, practicing labor and employment law, in their New York Office. Sam, our second son, joined LB Commercial Realty in 2006 after 16 years of prior experience in sales in the IT Industry. We are the proud grandparents of five beautiful little angels. Louise and I are avid sailors and spend many enjoyable days cruising Long Island Sound as well as the New England Coast through Block Island, and further.
