Bio
A graduate of Western Illinois University, Jim began his career as a Communications Consultant with Illinois Bell. He has been involved in the business community of central Illinois since 1976, serving on many local and National Advisory Boards. Jim is the former owner of the Hawk Agency, Inc. from 1982 to 2003. He is also the past president of the Peoria Association of Independent Agents, and has served on the Illinois State Board of Directors and the Travelers National Advisory Board. As well as a current member of the Peoria Area Association of Realtors and its Commercial Listing Service, he is also on the Executive Board of the Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Board of the Heart of Illinois Hospitality Association.
Jim has been an integral part in many area commercial transactions such as the purchasing and renovation of the Hawk Agency, Inc. He was also involved in the land acquisition and development of restaurants for Ruby Tuesday. Other commercial ventures include the building and renovation of Jill''''''''s on Galena, the Cutter Bar and Grill, and purchasing and renovating doctors'''''''' offices in Morton, Illinois.
Jim and his wife, Sue, live in Peoria. They have two grown children, Nick and Jill.
