Current Responsibilities
NorthMarq Senior Vice President Jim Sheehan is responsible for representing buyers and sellers of multifamily properties in eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware.
Past Experience
Prior to joining NorthMarq, Jim served as a senior director for Cushman & Wakefield’s Financial Services Group in Philadelphia. In this role, his responsibilities included origination, structuring and placement of real estate transactions involving equity and debt financing for office, industrial, multi-family and retail properties, and providing advisory and valuation services for commercial clients. Transactions completed by James on behalf of third-party clients over the past eight years total approximately $1.4 billion.
Before joining Cushman & Wakefield, Jim was a member of the Investment Properties Group of CB Richard Ellis where he was responsible for the origination and sale of investment properties and development sites. While with CB Richard Ellis and its precedent companies, Insignia/ESG and Jackson Cross/ONCOR International, Jim was consistently one of the highest producers. Jim received the Capital Advisors - Top Producer award in 2002, 2000, 1999 and 1997. In 2000 Jim was the recipient of the national Insignia/ESG award for “Capital Advisors Transaction of the Year” for leading the $135.7 million sale of a 2,113-unit, five-property multi-family portfolio known as the Gateside Portfolio. The sale required a mix of complex refinancing and UPREIT shares and was the largest multi-family transaction ever completed in the Philadelphia marketplace.

Professional and Community Involvement
Jim is a member of the Tri-State Real Estate Commission and has served as a guest speaker at the annual Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) conference in Philadelphia.
Education
Jim attended Drexel University and has completed numerous real estate courses at Villanova and Temple universities.
