Prior to joining JLL, Joe worked as capital markets specialist concentrating on the acquisition and disposition of retail assets throughout Virginia with Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer and handled Investment Sales with a Prominent International Investment Brokerage Firm. Mr. Kennedy has a strong underwriting and development background in retail, hospitality, office, education and medical office assets and has previously worked as a Development Underwriter with Washington D.C. based Building Hope, underwriting the acquisition and development of high-quality public charter schools in the District and Arizona.
Joe’s career began with Madison Realty Group, LLC as an Analyst in Pittsburgh where he managed acquisition and development underwriting. Mr. Kennedy controlled investor and bank financing memoranda, successfully placing +$22M in acquisition and construction financing as well as $5M in equity.
