Bio
Johan Quie is from Minneapolis and graduated from the University of Minnesota. Johan was invited by the United States Rowing team to move to San Francisco to train for the 2012 London Olympic Games. Shortly after his Olympic pursuits, Johan launched his career in commercial real estate in 2013 while working Newmark Knight Frank. He joined Innovation Properties Group in 2015, primarily representing tenants in both enterprise and startup landscapes. Johan specializes in implementing flexible real estate strategies for clients throughout the United States with a dedicated focus on the Bay Area, Chicago, New York and Minneapolis markets. Johan cares deeply about the success of his clients and works with great passion and accountability. He leads clients through complex real estate issues as they scale their business, technologies and their people. His deep exposure to a variety of tech industries allows him to provide clients more focused guidance on areas like finding facilities that can accommodate their exact use and planning for growth around inflection points like product milestones, funding, and M&A events. Johan and his partners provide companies with the most transparent and accurate solutions—from location strategy and employee-driven growth projections, to global cGNMP manufacturing processes and more. Some notable clients he has worked with include Disney, Amgen, Natel Energy, FDA, Paradigm, Zen Booth, and MODAL. Johan attributes his success to his time in commercial real estate and also to the collaborative and team-based skills he learned and honed as an elite athlete. Outside of work, Johan Quie enjoys playing piano, trail running, spending time with his family and rowing.
