Bio
John Bailey was born and raised in Dallas, Texas where he developed a passion for commercial real estate at an early age. Mr. Bailey studied business at Northwood University and Babson College.
In 2004, Mr. Bailey joined Options Real Estate, a local real estate development and landlord brokerage firm in southern Dallas. He was responsible for selling and leasing Option’s portfolio of over five million square feet of retail, office, land and industrial properties. Mr. Bailey later joined Mohr Partners, a global corporate real estate advisory firm, where he provided corporate real estate portfolio transaction services for clients around the world.
In 2008, during the worst recession since the great depression, Mr. Bailey founded The Allan Bailey Group, LLC. As Founder and CEO, Mr. Bailey has transformed the company into the number one MBE certified, African-American owned and operated tenant representation firm in the country. Mr. Bailey has successfully negotiated over 600 commercial real estate transactions over his 15 years in the real estate industry.
In 2011, Mr. Bailey was named top tenant rep broker of the year by Hartman Income REIT. Mr. Bailey is an alumni of the 2017 Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program and was recently showcased as a local Dallas developer on Shark Tank Grow South. A partnership between Mark Cuban, Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlins and The Real Estate Council (TREC) to bring visibility to southern sector redevelopment and enhance local low-income communities.
Mr. Bailey devotes a significant amount of time to providing exposure and mentorship to low-income communities within Southern Dallas. Mr. Bailey is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), a Licensed Realtor and member of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors. Mr. Bailey is also a member of the Dallas Regional Chamber’s Southern Sector Task Force, the Greater Dallas Planning Council’s Innovative Communities Task Force and The Real Estate Council (TREC).
