Bio
For 35 years, John has specialized in the procurement and disposition of industrial, office and development sites for his clients. His primary role is business development and team leader in listing assignments and client mandates. John’s clients span the spectrum of various industries, as well as the institutional, investment and national real estate development community.
John’s experience and leadership is well recognized having participated in National Real Estate Forum panels, as well as other industry seminars and conferences. John also has been part of the TREB’S Arbitration Committee and currently sits on TREB’s Commercial Committee.
John graduated from the Western University in 1987 with a degree in History and Economics. John obtained his real estate sale representative’s license in 1986 and his broker’s license in 1988. John holds an FRI designation, as a Fellow of the Real Estate Institute of Canada. As well, he holds a PLE designation, as a Professional Land Economist, granted by the Association of Ontario Land Economists (AOLE).
John has led and participated in many large and sophisticated transactions, including the 820,000 sf Royal Bank Meadowvale Office Campus, an assignment that included an extensive site search, the creation of a detailed project specification, the issuance and management of a Request For Proposal Transaction and, finally, lengthy negotiations resulting in a long-term lease and Design-Build construction project on behalf of the bank. The transaction value was approximately $250,000,000.00.
John’s clients span the spectrum of user groups and are kept abreast of the latest market trends. Client service and constant communication is John’s mantra.
John’s experience and leadership is well recognized having participated in the national Real Estate Forum’s panels as well as municipal/governmental “Charrette’s” regarding future use of large and significant tracts of re-development lands. John also has been part of the Toronto Real Estate Board’s Arbitration Committee contributing to the local welfare and soundness of his profession.
