Bio
John Munroe is a Senior Managing Director for Newmark, acquired in December 2014 by BGC Partners, Inc. and now is a part of Newmark.
Located in Newmark’s Raleigh-Durham Office, he is responsible for multifamily brokerage and advisory services throughout the Carolinas. Munroe focuses on dispositions, client development, pricing strategies, as well as the negotiation and closing of transactions. Munroe has led or been meaningfully involved in more than $9 billion in multifamily brokerage sales since he joined the firm in 2013.
Prior to joining Newmark, Munroe worked for Hawthorne Residential Partners where he was an investment analyst overseeing all underwriting for the company’s existing portfolio and their new acquisitions. Before that, Munroe worked at Clarion Partners in Washington D.C. as a financial analyst where he became very familiar with the underwriting of all property types including industrial, multifamily, office and retail.
