John grew up in the Elk Grove community and rural Wilton. He served as a legislative director at the Capitol for four years and as a legal aide in Washington DC, focusing on Agricultural and Economic Development. After returning to the area, he obtained his Realtor's license and began working as a buyer's agent for Diane Pennisi.
