John P. Scott serves as Vice-President of the Industrial Group, where he is responsible for the sale and leasing of warehouse & plant facilities, industrial facilities and investment properties throughout the Upstate SC region.
Career Summary
John joined Grubb & Ellis | The Furman Co. in 1991 and has more than 30 years experience in sales and marketing, with 12 years devoted to the industrial real estate industry. Prior to joining Grubb & Ellis | The Furman Co., John served as a General Sales Manager for ten years in a broadcast communications company.
Education
John has a BA in Business Administration from Furman University. He has also completed multiple hours of graduate-level coursework as part of his SIOR and CCIM achievements.

John has earned the CCIM designation from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute and the SIOR designation from the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors. He has also earned the Grubb & Ellis Circle of Excellence in 1998, 1999 and 2000.
He has served as past president of the Executive Association of Greater Greenville and is a graduate of Leadership Greenville. He is also involved with the Downtown Greenville Sertoma Club.
