Bio
Jordan Brandes joined Charter in the spring of 2019. He is currently responsible for evaluating and executing on new acquisition opportunities as well as handling all financial analysis throughout the company’s portfolio. In addition, he contributes to development, asset management, leasing, partnerships and debt financing activities for the firm.
Prior to joining Charter, Jordan spent two years at Madison Realty Capital, an institutionally backed real estate private equity firm in NYC. During that time, he played key roles in the underwriting, structuring, execution and asset management of approximately $2BN of debt and equity investments across various asset classes and geographies nationwide. Prior to working at Madison Realty Capital, Jordan worked at Deutsche Bank within the Commercial Real Estate Special Situations Group (SSG). During this time he assisted in the evaluation, due diligence and execution of various debt investments, including construction and bridge loan origination, secondary market loan acquisitions and the origination of senior loans contributed toward high yield, note-on-note (leveraged debt) facilities.
Jordan earned a BS degree from Tufts University with a focus in economics and entrepreneurial business. He sits on the UJA Federation Real Estate Executive Next Committee and is also on the Board of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s Young Professionals New York Chapter. He grew up in Westchester County, NY and now resides in Manhattan. Jordan is an avid skier, traveler, foodie and proficient in Spanish.
