Jordan Smith joined AQUILA Commercial in January of 2011 as an industrial specialist. Jordan primarily represents lessees, buyers and owners—investors and users—of industrial real estate in the greater Austin market. Before joining AQUILA’s industrial team, Jordan worked as a Development Associate for Capital City Partners, Inc., an Austin based commercial real estate development company. His duties with Capital City included land and asset investment analysis, pro forma development, land entitlement, asset management, lease negotiations, and construction coordination. Jordan’s relevant experience includes: • Capstar Plaza: Developed pro forma and participated in entitlement, development and refinancing of Capstar Plaza, a 115,000 square foot mid-rise Class A office building located at the intersection of West 5th Street and MoPac Expressway, just west of Downtown Austin. • Harris Ridge Business Center: Participated in the entitlement, development and marketing of a +/- 400,000 square foot, multi-phase, bulk warehouse and flex development in Northeast Austin. • Brushy Creek Corporate Center: Provided market analysis and land evaluation, developed pro forma and equity package, and participated in land entitlement and marketing of a planned +/- 270,000 square foot flex/value office park in Cedar Park, Texas. • Retail/Land Portfolio: Negotiated leases, managed assets, marketed, coordinated construction, and participated in refinancing of various retail and land assets throughout the Austin market. Jordan attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 2006 with majors in Finance, with a concentration in Real Estate, and Government. He is currently a member of the Commercial Leasing Brokers Association and the Real Estate Council of Austin.
