Bio
Jose I. Juncadella, Principal of Fairchild Partners, co-founded the commercial real estate firm in 2005. With more than 30 years of commercial real estate brokerage experience and over $3 billion in sales and leasing volume, Jose has concluded many of South Florida’s most significant leases, sales, and build-to suit transactions. Prior to founding Fairchild Partners, he was a top broker with Codina Real Estate Services and The Doran Jason Group. Jose has been recognized with top honors from the industry’s leading publications and professional organizations. These include the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) 2015 Innovator of the Year award, and induction into the Florida International University (FIU) Hall of Fame as 2015 Entrepreneur of the Year. In 2019, GlobeSt.com’s Real Estate Forum magazine recognized Jose with the national award of 2019 “Industrial Influencer.”
Among significant 2016 transactions, Jose was involved in representing the sellers in the $28 million sale of 44 industrial acres in Hialeah, and the $54 million sale of two acres in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood. He has served as exclusive tenant representative for major companies, including Facebook, American Express, Sunglass Hut (national headquarters), TNT Express Worldwide, TOPP Telecom, New York Life, Holliday Fenoglio Fowler (HFF), Feeding South Florida, and Ericsson GE. He handled national representation for Schenker International and represented Delta Airlines Reservation Center, Ryder System, Mastec, and CSA Group in relocations of their South Florida corporate headquarters. He was part of the Miami Herald’s facilities relocation team in 2013, and participated in Baptist Health South Florida’s site selection and acquisition for its build-to-suit centralized distribution center in South Florida.
He has served as lead leasing broker for South Florida’s major industrial and office parks, including Beacon Centre, Beacon 97, Beacon TradePort, Beacon Industrial Park, Beacon Lakes, Medley Industrial Park, Miami Free Zone, Westside Corporate Center, Centergate at Gratigny, Downtown Doral, Transal Logistics Center, and America’s Gateway IX. He is the lead broker representing Centergate II, a 602,000-sq.-ft. class-A industrial development in Hialeah named NAIOP’s 2016 Building of the Year. Now filling the project with top-tier users, Fairchild Partners signed a tenant there for one of 2017’s largest industrial leases in South Florida.
As the landlord’s representative, in 2015 he helped secure Amazon.com as a 335,000-sq.-ft. tenant for Airport West. That same year, he was instrumental in fully leasing the new 218,000-sq.-ft. Transal Logistics Center to eight tenants in the brief span of six months at record rates for that market.
A distinguished leader of his field’s professional organizations, Jose has served on the SIOR’s Florida board of directors from 2006 to 2014. A director of the Commercial Industrial Association of South Florida (CIASF) since 2014, he was CIASF’s 2015-16 president. A governor of the 1,200-member Realtors Commercial Alliance, he was its 2009 president, in addition to membership since 2006 in its parent organization, the Miami Association of Realtors. Active with Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW-Miami) since 2011, he co-chairs CREW-Miami’s Fishing Tournament, an annual event that supports the scholarships CREW-Miami awards to women entering commercial real estate. He currently serves on the FIU School of Real Estate Advisory Board. A runner and an avid angler, Jose is a member of the Coconut Grove-based Profishent fishing team.
