Bio
José has a diverse background in commercial real estate, including retail leasing, development, property management and shopping center operations. Prior to joining Segall Group, José worked as in-house counsel for Prime Retail, a national developer, owner and operator of outlet malls throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. José has broad experience in landlord/tenant issues, corporate transactions and commercial operations. A native Spanish speaker, José was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He received his Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University, a Graduate Diploma from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), as well as a Juris Doctor from the Tulane School of Law. A certified Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor, José spends his time out of the office flying or traveling. He has lived in Italy and Holland and has extensively traveled throughout Europe, the Caribbean and Central America. He is a member of the Maryland Bar, the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and on the Board of Directors for BARCS. He is also a licensed real estate broker in Maryland, District of Columbia, Delaware, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
