Bio
Joyce received her Real Estate License in June of 1984. At the beginning of her real estate career, she was a Sales and Marketing Director for several San Diego developers. After a few years she entered the general real estate arena and has not only closed over two thousand transactions, but she has been a trainer and mentor as well as assistant manager. Her experience prior to real estate Joyce was in Insurance and Financial Planning which she believes assisted her in her insight for not only assisting families find homes but in preparing for their future needs. She has always suggested to her clients that they review their entire financial plans including life and disability insurance coverage when purchasing the largest “investment” of their lives.
Joyce has been involved with the local Boards of Realtors since she first became a realtor. She has served as President of the Board, VP, Past President as well as Director at the local and state levels for many years. She has sat on Mediation Panels and is certified in Professional Standards as well as Certified Probate Real Estate Specialist. She has been active in the Government Affairs and the Political Actions Committees at the board. In 2008 Joyce met with the heads of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as well as others in a private meeting in Washington, DC to look into what they could do to speed up the clogged pipeline of REO and “under water properties”. She is also involved with the Republican Women Federated and has served them as local President.
Graduate of San Diego High 1957. She has also taken college level real estate classes throughout the past 20 years. Joyce did not attend college herself as she was busy working and sending her husband to receive his BA, MA, and PhD, and then his children were next in line for their collage years. Joyce assists in collecting food for Mama’s Kitchen and Feed America. Working with the USO and their Wounded Warrior Games at Camp Pendleton is always very rewarding. Her daughter and son-in-law live in Oregon and her son, and his 18 yr. old son live in Kansas and her other two grandsons, and her great grandson lives in Portland. Joyce is a Christian and she attends church in El Cajon. She has received the prestigious Realtor of the Year award for “outstanding service and contribution to the Real Estate Industry.” This honor only goes to one person per year and not every year at that. She has received certificates from Congress, Senators, Assemblymen, and Mayors for her work in the Real Estate Industry. She also received a Certificate from State Senator Joel Anderson for “Nomination for Woman of the Year.”
