Judy first joined Real People Realty in April of 2008. She was previously a partner in a top producing Realty Executives franchise and decided, after commuting for a number of years, to sell her shares in the company. She has worked for other franchised offices over the course of her career and felt an independent company was a good fit. While being a local independent company, Real People Realty boasts over 400 agents and has a significant market share in the Chicago Southland.
Judy is an involved member at Three Rivers Association of REALTORS® and is its current President for 2019. She is on the Governmental Affairs, Finance and RPAC Committees at the Association. Judy is very involved in the Government Affairs committee and has chaired it three times. The Government Affairs committee acts as a watchdog group helping to preserve private property rights and to help keep government accountable when it comes to private property rights.
Judy takes the role real estate plays in everyone's everyday lives very seriously. Not only is she involved at the local level, but she is also involved at the state and national level as well. She is currently a member of the Illinois REALTORS® Public Policy and Government Affairs Member Involvement Group and the IR Housing Opportunity and REALTORS® Political Involvement Working Groups as well as the National Association of REALTORS® Federal Financing & Housing Policy Committee for 2019.
Judy resides in Will County with her family and is a Volunteer Advocate for CASA of Will County, helping children caught up in the court system. Judy was appointed to the Will County Historic Preservation Commission in 2014 and was reappointed for the 2017-2020 term. She was an active member of the Lincoln-Way Central Music Boosters, helping to raise money for the Lincoln-Way Central High School music programs including the Marching Knights.
