Profile Karen Douthitt joined Cushman & Wakefield in February 2014 as Director of Operations for the downtown Los Angeles office. In 2017, Karen relocated to Nashville, TN and joined the Cushman & Wakefield team as Operations Director. She provides leadership and direction by managing a profitable operation that provides superior service to revenue producers, clients, and employees. Working closely with the Managing Principal, corporate finance, and human resources, Karen implements strategic initiatives and is responsible for implementing human resources, finance, and operational procedures, programs, and initiatives in the office as well as ensuring compliance to regulatory and corporate policies. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Karen spent 15 years at the Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies where she was the Senior Vice President of Administration for their entire operation. In this role, Karen had responsibility for firm wide administration that included human resources, IT, facilities, contracts, marketing, accounting, budgeting and implementing cost efficient strategies as well as employee benefits, performance management and employee relations. She also served as the Company’s Corporate Secretary. Karen has a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from San Diego State University where she graduated cum laude. She is also a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
