Bio
Karen Lim was born in Malaysia, raised in Australia and now resides in the San Francisco Bay Area. A law graduate and editor of Law Review from the University of Western Australia, Karen started her career as a barrister and solicitor and worked on business and real estate transactions in Australia and Singapore. Since moving to the United States, Karen transitioned to marketing and public relations and has represented multiple high-tech clients including IBM, HP and Iomega and startup ventures across the US, Asia and Australia.
In the past few years, Karen has been managing a portfolio of investment properties in the Bay Area with experience in property management, trusts/estate planning and landlord/tenant issues. To expand her expertise in commercial leasing and sales, Karen has joined DeRose & Appelbaum. In her spare time, Karen is a musician with classical piano training with the Royal College of Music, loves to entertain and cook, and continues to trot the globe. She is fluent in Malay, Indonesian and conversant in Cantonese.
