Mr. Kwang Chul "K.C." Whang is the Founder and Principal Broker of The W Group Commercial Real Estate, a full service commercial real estate; mergers and acquisitions, business and real estate consulting, brokerage and property management firm, licensed and practicing in the Washington Tri-state area: Maryland, Virginia and District of Columbia.
Over 25 years, Mr. Whang has successfully concluded multi-million dollar sales and leasing transactions, and countless mergers and acquisitions. He has consulted for and helped to establish numerous businesses and organizations in the Washington region. Mr. Whang currently manages a commercial real estate portfolio of $8 Million for his clients around the Washington area.
During the past 25 years, Mr. Whang''s reputation as a cross-cultural and multi-discipline business facilitator has earned him a distinguished reputation as a "deal-maker", in a complex world where sensitivity to and knowledge of cultures and business practices are a must. Mr. Whang, an immigrant generation Korean-American has lived and traveled extensively around East and Southeast Asia, North and South America throughout his life, having lived for extended periods of time in Argentina, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, and the U.S. A real estate niche specialty as well as a community service focus for Mr. Whang has been church/religious non-profit use real estate development, sales and consulting.
Mr. Whang, is a graduate of The Crummer Graduate School of Business Administration, in Orlando, FL, (MBA), and a graduate of Middlebury College, VT, (BA).
Mr. Whang is an active community leader in of Howard County, MD. He has served on the Howard County Economic Development Authority Board, Vice Chair of Howard County Committee for Business and Economic Diversity, The Horizon Foundation Board of Trustees Executive Committee, and the Elder Board of Bridgeway Community Church.
