Bio
Keith Brown began his real estate career in 1981 as an asset manager for Jones Lang Wooten USA. At Jones Lang Wooten, his responsibilities included the supervision of the management and leasing of over 1 million square feet of office buildings and shopping centers in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. Keith was also responsible for developing the corporate "Operational Plan" that would be used for all of the office buildings in the portfolio.
In 1983, Keith went to work for Cushman and Wakefield, a full service leasing and management company providing services to real estate owners nationwide. He took over a troubled portfolio of underperforming office buildings and with his organizational skills and "can do" attitude turned these properties around by increasing occupancy from 55% to 92% and reorganizing the maintenance operations.
In 1985, Keith took his skills to Western Development/Management. There he used his broad experience to help develop the Asset Management Department as the Senior Asset Manager for Westerns' portfolio of office buildings and shopping centers located around the country.
Furthering his rapid rise in the real estate industry, Keith took on responsibilities as Executive Vice President with Tycon Management in 1987. He was responsible for the supervision of an office building portfolio developed by the owner. This included office buildings in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area totaling approximately 3.2 million square feet.
In 1989, Keith left Tycon Management to become a founding Principal and President of Real Estate Audits and Consulting Services (REACS, Inc.) to concentrate on offering professional real estate services, including property/asset management, leasing and sales of commercial properties.
Keith is active in the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, NAIOP, BOMA, and IREM. Keith is also licensed to practice real estate in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
Personal: Keith is a long-time resident of the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area and currently resides in Gaithersburg, Maryland with his wife and three sons. He is an active member of the Optimist Club of Bethesda and is a volunteer coach for youth sports for Montgomery County and the City of Rockville.
