Dunbar leads Opus’ expansion into the greater Charlotte market and the broader Southeast region. He is responsible for establishing a strong local presence by sourcing and pursuing industrial and multifamily development opportunities and advancing high-potential projects that align with regional demand, economic indicators, and long-term organizational goals.
Prior to Opus, Dunbar had 35 years of development experience in the Southeast, including the development of over 11,000 multifamily units. Most recently he founded the multifamily division of Charlotte-based Childress Klein, where he was managing partner, a role he held for 13 years.
Dunbar earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Indiana Indianapolis. He is an active member of the National Multifamily Housing Council and is affiliated with several professional real estate organizations.
