Ken Rapp is a Vice Chairman in CBRE’s Midtown Manhattan office, and has acted as a real estate consultant and tenant representative for the firm since 1988. Ken specializes primarily in representing corporations with operations in Manhattan's Midtown and Downtown Districts, as well as select New York property owners.
Ken’s thorough and extensive knowledge of the New York City real estate market has enabled him to complete over 350 lease transactions totaling more than 8 million sq. ft. with aggregate rent commitments in excess of $6.5 billion.
Major projects have included lease acquisitions and dispositions for law firms and Fortune 500 Companies, multi-market relocations, lease auditing and strategic development, implementation of occupancy cost reduction strategies and advanced lease renewals. Throughout his career, Ken has cultivated exclusive and long-term relationships with local owners, developers and corporate clients.
During his tenure at CBRE, Ken has been named a "Top 10" Producer in the New York City Office more than 15 times. He has won many management awards, including the Managing Officers Award, Outstanding Achievement Award, Technology Award and International Award. Ken has been awarded the CB Richard Ellis Coldwell Colbert Circle designation numerous times, representing the top 3% of producers at CBRE worldwide.
Ken was born in Lausanne, Switzerland, and spent the subsequent 12 years in Bern, Switzerland. He currently resides in New York City with his wife, Shelley.
