Kirsten Childers, of Sierra Sotheby’s International Realty, your global realtor, has lived the Carson-Reno-Tahoe area for over 35 years. Kirsten built a prosperous career in all aspects of housing development over the past 25 years, leading a natural and logical path to cross over into real estate. A consistent top producing agent, Kirsten has been recognized among Sierra Sotheby’s “Quarterly Best” and “Top 25” for the past two years.
Kirsten is an accomplished businesswoman who combines management and operational experience with entrepreneurial instincts, strategic insight, organization, creativity and a flare for design. Kirsten’s unique background and skillset are the driving forces behind her real estate successes. In her career, Kirsten has received several awards and accolades, most recently she was named 2020’s “Inspiring New Leader of Tomorrow” by the Nevada Realtors Association. This past year she was also recognized among the Top 10 Most Influential Women of Sierra Nevada.
A Cartus relocation expert, Kirsten specializes in supporting military relocations and understanding the benefits of Navy Fed in the Northern Nevada area as it grows and changes its landscape. Based on Kirsten’s leadership success with referrals in 2019 & 2020, she was one of three to be chosen to spearhead “Operation DAGR,” a program to assist military veterans relocate. She is humbled to assist those who have served our great country and their families.
Giving back to the community is extremely important to Kirsten. Her family business, Heart to Heart has been a long-standing pillar in the community where she enjoys caring for the elderly. She also serves on the Board of the Nationally recognized Junior League of Reno chapter helping women and youth. As a response to the COVID-19 outbreak Kirsten was inspired to create “Feed the Need,” raising over $52,000 in a one-day community wide fundraiser to assist with meals for children from economically disadvantaged families.
Kirsten spends her free time enjoying life with her two children, Alyssa & Dylan, supporting them and their sports, and traveling. She also enjoys working out and outdoor activities like golf, softball, hiking, boating, and paddle boarding. She loves the beauty Northern Nevada has to offer, experiencing all seasons, and the diversity of recreation in both winter and summer sports.
