It was in January of 2008; maybe the worst year ever for the real estate industry in Florida that Lars Heldre saw the opportunity to target an untapped market for international buyers and opened the doors to SuperiorFloridaRealty.com's first office in Boca Raton, Florida.
Lars Heldre came to Florida in 2002 and founded the company CompIntel, Inc, an Application Software Provider (company) that specialized in monitoring the Internet for the enterprise market. However, upon realizing that there was a huge opportunity to market real estate in Florida to Norwegians, he switched gears solely based on the fact that he knew that more than 10,000 Norwegians every year were acquiring real estate abroad and that there was an untapped market in Florida.
With knowledge and expertise from the IT world and an emphasis on heavy online and offline advertising abroad, Lars Heldre has through his Norwegian website floridabolig.no become a well-known name in Norway. He has on numerous occasions been interviewed by Norwegian media (e.g., newspapers, business magazines and business portals) about the Florida real estate market.
With the help from superior full-time in-office Swedish, Norwegian and American sales associates in three offices in Florida (Boca Raton, Orlando and Fort Myers), and talented and devoted employees, SuperiorFloridaRealty.com headed up by Lars is responsible for several hundreds of real estate purchases made by international buyers in Florida. The company has grown in excess of 100% per year, has assisted South Florida developers with marketing and sales as on-site listing brokers, and has helped numerous developers from West Palm Beach to Miami and beyond with selling out their inventory.
As of 2012, Lars Heldre heads up three companies: SuperiorFloridaRealty.com (i.e., a real estate brokerage firm that focuses mainly on selling properties to international buyers), SuperiorFloridaRentals.com (i.e., a company that rents luxury vacation homes/houses acquired by foreign investors to tourists by the week), and SuperiorFloridaManagement.com (i.e., a property management company responsible for managing annual rentals acquired by foreign investors).
