Bio
Linda Blair, founder, and owner of ResCom Properties. I am an Armenian who immigrated from Istanbul at the age of 5. My father, a talented goldsmith, and my mother a seamstress brought my sister and me to this land of opportunity. The greatest lessons I learned from my parents were to work hard and respect one another. For that, I am forever grateful.
I was first licensed in 2002 as a realtor with Century 21 M&M and Associates. I had the passion to learn every aspect, so I dove right into both residential and commercial real estate sales. One of the first projects I took on was a contaminated gas station! Professionals told me I was crazy, but I learned the most by researching these types of properties.
Century 21 M&M was a great initial brokerage to be a part of. I enjoyed my colleagues, had a beautiful office, and quickly became a top producer, receiving multiple master’s awards. I was trained by the best. I’ll never forget Marian Norris’ effect on my real estate education. To this day, I remember many of her words ringing in my ear and holding them of great value. She taught me early on, “if a deal is going to die, kill it!” She was a direct communicator and a very powerful, focused businesswoman.
I found myself aligned with her qualities and motivation. Early in my career, I also took CCIM courses which gave me the cutting edge I needed to sell income properties, such as Commercial buildings, Multi-Unit Residential, and mixed-use buildings. What interests me about commercial and larger investment properties is working with the investor who seeks the bottom line. When I deal with investors, business owners, and property owners, they are focused on making smart financial decisions. They want to know, “How can my cash work for me? Where should I invest or reinvest? How long? What will be my cash-on-cash return? What about tax liability?” Although there are many variables in purchasing an investment property, it is important to remember that numbers are a key factor. I feel rewarded when I can help a client achieve long-term real estate wealth.
In 2006-2008, I went through some life-changing, personal experiences. The real estate market also came to a complete crash and most of the economy and homeowners suffered a long period of a housing crisis. With these factors, I needed to move out of Stockton, where I was predominantly working. I moved back to the Bay Area, where I was raised. There, I joined a prestigious company, Alain Pinel Realtors (APR), where I learned many new marketing skills. Gaining more knowledge, I knew that if I ever created a company of my own, it would be like that of APR. I liked their image and professionalism.
I had always wanted to have my own brokerage.
Witnessing the bottom of the housing market, with not much more to lose, I decided it was time for change and growth!
I opened my new brokerage in November 2009, here in Benicia.
My first office was above the Camelia Tea Room Building. Since then, I moved several times as my company grew.
I saw the need for servicing tenants and property owners with their rentals, so I added a property management sector in 2013. I found my final business location in 2020, at the well-maintained Treasury Commons building on First Street. Here, I feel at home and grounded. I love this treasured town of Benicia, where I have been a resident for over 12 years.
I built my business on my reputation and my 3 core beliefs of Honesty, Integrity, and Professionalism. I know that with determination, truly hard work, and my core values, I will continue to have success.
