Since 1983, Lou has been learning new things about commercial real estate just about every day. Since 2002, Lou has been a Founding Partner of Brio Properties, a Winter Park, Florida-based brokerage company assisting clients with commercial real estate transactions. Prior to that he was a Vice President for National Retail Properties (NYSE: NNN).
A CCIM since 1993, Lou has served on the CCIM Institute Board of Directors since 2006, was the 2014 Institute Treasurer, is a member of their Executive Committee, and was the 2004 President of the Florida CCIM Chapter. Lou also holds the CPM designation and is a member of the IREM National Faculty. Lou is also Past President of the 16,000+ member Orlando Regional Realtor Association, and a current member of the Boards of Directors of the Florida Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Lou has been appointed to serve as 2022 Chair of the NAR Commercial Committee.
In his community, Lou is a Past Chairman of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce and the Keep Winter Park Beautiful Board. He is a former board member of The First Republic Corporation of America, and the Apartment Association of Greater Orlando and the Florida Apartment Association.
