Prior to joining Cushman in 2023, Marc Magazine was executive managing director at Savills since 2011. Before Savills, Marc was a principal of Humboldt Hospitality, a full-service hospitality advisory company that he co-founded with Tom Baker. Before forming Humboldt, Marc was senior vice president with CBRE and led its hotel partners division in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area. In this capacity, Marc provided hospitality real estate advisory services to owners, developers, lenders, hotel chains, operators and governments. He assisted clients in economic and market-based consulting, financing, investment analysis, venture structuring, management selection, contract negotiation, and strategic planning. In recent years, Marc has closed over $4 billion in hotel transactions. Marc’s hotel experience began when his family owned the Hay Adams Hotel and as general manager, he had the hotel accepted as one of the ‘Leading Hotels of the World’. Marc is a third generation real estate profession in the Washington, DC area. Before specializing in hospitality industry, he had been involved in some of the most notable commercial and residential transactions in the metropolitan area, winning the Washington Business Journal ‘Best Real Estate Deal Award’ for both best office and residential transactions. Awards, Achievements and Activities Marc has won several “Best Deals of the Year” from Washington Business Journal. He is a past member of the faculty of Georgetown University for the Master of Professional Studies in Real Estate. Marc is on the National Advisory Board of National Jewish Health and is past president of the board for Big Brothers of Washington, DC.
