A veteran of the commercial real estate industry for over 34 years, Marc Shapses has built a successful business through commitment, determination and loyalty to tenants.He understands the importance of the real estate decision for his clients and as their advocate, participates in every aspect of the process beyond that of a traditional real estate advisor. Marc remains hands-on throughout the transaction process including helping his clients in hiring all other professionals required for the project (i.e. architect, engineer, project manager, etc.). Marc ensures to participate in every meeting, leaving no room for costly mistakes. Before initiating the real estate process, Marc focuses on learning every aspect of his clients' business in order to build the right strategic approach that will help his clients make educated decisions. Marc’s team combines over 150 years of experience, and encompasses members from various backgrounds including financial advisors, architects, workplace strategists, project managers, attorneys and a chief economist. Some of Marc’s most notable recent experiences include a 60,000 square-foot expansion on behalf of the Quad Preparatory School, a 26,000 square-foot relocation on behalf of New York City Charter School of the Arts, a 16,000 square-foot renewal on behalf of Russo & Toner (law firm) and a 98,000 square-foot relocation on behalf of Sumitomo Corporation of America. Other clients include JCCA, Regeneron, Lester Schwab Katz & Dwyer, and Galo Vitucci Klar. Marc joined Savills in 1991 after six years with Sutton & Edwards, where he started his career. His geographic focus is on the New York metropolitan market with a specific expertise in Downtown Manhattan.
