Bio
Mark Holod is a veteran of 25 years in the commercial real estate industry, having served as senior real estate executive at PepsiCo, Chase Manhattan and, most recently, Merrill Lynch. He retired from Merrill Lynch in 2008 and joined Prudential Commercial Real Estate in May 2009 as Vice President and Director, National Services Group. Mark’s experience covers such areas as strategic planning, transaction management, creative problem solving, merger and acquisition due diligence, organizational development and management, and depressed asset/portfolio analysis and disposition. Mark has spearheaded such high profile projects as the purchase by Chase Manhattan of 1 New York Plaza and 2 Chase Manhattan Plaza in lower Manhattan, and the strategic planning and execution of the move of 5,000 back office staff from lower Manhattan to a new facility in MetroTech, Brooklyn. At Merrill Lynch, he was instrumental in establishing and managing the firm’s first formal lease auditing program that, in it’s first year alone, resulted in operating expense cash recoveries from Landlords totaling over $2.5 Million. Additionally, he served on the due diligence team for the Advest acquisition, handling real estate integration and the disposal of the Advest headquarters in Hartford. A graduate of City College of New York where he earned a BA in Political Science, Mark also received an MBA in Marketing from Baruch College. In addition to his myriad business accomplishments, Mark has served on the Editorial Board of Real Centric, been a guest lecturer at New York University on Real Estate Principles and Practices, and has published several articles on the subject of barter as a real estate marketing tool and alternative financing vehicle. Most recently, Mark has been appointed to serve on the Town of Westport’s Golf Advisory Committee. Mark has lived in Westport since 1982 with his wife, Judy and three children.
