Mark Talley is a seasoned real estate professional with 26 years of experience. Mark concentrates his practice on tenant and landlord representation for lease negotiations. Mark also represents clients in the disposition and acquisition of real estate assets. The development of strong relationships throughout the Detroit real estate community has led to his success.
Mark served in leadership roles with two of the world’s leading real estate firms, first with Jones Lang LaSalle and later with Grubb & Ellis. With JLL, Mark served as the Client Relationship Manager with the City of Detroit. In that capacity, he interfaced regularly with senior members of the administration. Mark negotiated over 1M SF of office leases for a total of over $90M, while securing savings of over $25M. During this time Mark also led a team that completed $40M in land dispositions.
Mark then served as Vice President with Grubb & Ellis specializing in the Midtown & Central Business District markets. In 2012, Mark launched Griswold Realty Advisors, LLC which has brokered deals totaling nearly $50M.
Mark Talley has been an Independent Trustee of Office Properties Income Trust (Nasdaq: OPI) since 2022. He is Associate Broker at Griswold Realty Advisors, LLC, which he founded in 2012. Until 2023, he was Principal and one of the founding Partners of Greenwood Commercial Real Estate, where he provided acquisition, disposition and leasing services for clients in office real estate.
Prior to founding Greenwood in May 2021, Mr. Talley worked for more than 25 years in various roles in the commercial real estate industry in the metropolitan Detroit, Michigan market, including at Grubb & Ellis between 2007 and 2012 as well as at Jones Lang LaSalle (including its predecessor LaSalle Partners) between 1995 and 2007. Mr. Talley is involved in a range of non-profit and civic leadership roles in the Detroit, Michigan area.
