Matthew Heyn is a Vice Chair at Colliers, based in the Greater Los Angeles region. He leads the Integrated Advisory Services Team, a group comprised of industry-leading professionals who specialize in agency leasing and tenant representation, multimarket occupier, and account-led business, advising a lauded global portfolio of law firms, private equity investment firms, mid-cap and Fortune 500 companies, and many of the industry’s top institutional owners.
Matthew and the Integrated Advisory Services Team offer their clientele a dynamic service experience through elevated real estate solutions and a boutique approach. Highly regarded as a trusted, strategic, and knowledgeable partner, Matthew is known for his innovative mindset. Matthew and his team emphasize speed to market and an onboarding process designed to leverage a consistent approach to provide maximum marketing exposure. The team provides a compressed deal timeline to reduce client costs and outperform leasing budget expectations. Partnering with Colliers’ in-house advertising agency, they craft strategic marketing campaigns that are uniquely targeted, utilizing tracking via social and digital media to inform and excite key decision makers. They also partner with Colliers’ Labor Analytics experts to understand the labor supply surrounding a property and target a specific list of tenants. Matthew’s track record of significant lease transactions over the past 20+ years is impressive, having represented some of the industry’s top institutional landlords across Southern California, including Brookfield, EQ Office, Kennedy Wilson, Nuveen, and the Irvine Company.
Matthew has built a robust occupier and global account business, working with a range of occupiers and private equity-backed portfolio companies. He and his team deliver portfolio-wide transaction services that maximize enterprise value across real estate portfolios. They specialize in mergers and acquisitions, seeking to provide accurate, reliable information that clients can depend on when making major financial decisions. They act as an in-house real estate department, bridging the gap between pre-acquisition advisory and post-close execution.
