Bio
Consistently ranked in the top 1% as a top-producing agent in the United States, Matt has garnered a variety of accolades over the past decade from noted publications such as the Wall St. Journal, Los Angeles Magazine, the Los Angeles Times and Real Trends. His hands-on and earnest approach has earned him the respect and confidence of his extensive list of clients, ranging from first time homebuyers to some of the nation’s wealthiest families.
Matt is known throughout the industry for representing his clients with passion and dedication, values honed from his past experience in the sports industry where he was both an athlete and an agent. While earning his degree at UCLA, Matt played for the Bruins’ 1997 College World Series baseball team and upon graduation, signed a professional baseball contract with the Oakland A’s. When his playing days were over, he went on to represent professional athletes in contract negotiations and endorsement deals for more than a decade, sharpening his business and negotiation skills and preparing him for a career in real estate. Matt's clients appreciate his innate ability to understand their needs, which ensures consistently smooth and successful transactions.
Prior to joining Compass, Matt flourished for seven years at The Agency in Beverly Hills and five years at Berkshire Hathaway in Brentwood. Well-versed on L.A.’s vast luxury landscape, Matt specializes in the Brentwood, Westwood, Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Bel Air and Beverly Hills markets, although his clients’ desire to work with him often takes him beyond these locations. A highly-skilled negotiator, Matt has closed numerous transactions that have set price records in many of these neighborhoods.
When not meeting with clients or showing properties, you can find Matt on the golf course, attending his kids’ school and sporting events, rooting on the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium, and spending quality time with his wife Elinor and their three children. He remains an active member of the UCLA Alumni Association and Bruin Varsity Club and resides in Bel Air.
