Matt joined Blake Real Estate in 1989, as Property Manager. Matt oversees the operation of 585,304 sf of commercial real estate, including the Bender Building, at 1120 Connecticut Ave., NW, and the Connecticut Building, at 1150 Connecticut Ave., NW. Matt’s experience and creativity make him an invaluable member of the team. He brings perspective rooted in 25 years of experience to maximize efficiency and balance priorities for each property, including Blake’s third party management clients. Matt began his career working in Interior Landscaping after graduating from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Environmental Horticulture. This lead to a five year tenure with Rolling Greens, Inc., where as Staff Manager he oversaw a group of twenty service technicians, maintaining plants in over 400 metropolitan Washington, DC accounts every week. Matt stays active when away from Blake. One of his interests is the intricate and diverse world of Orchid biology. With 20,000 species and countless hybrids, they provide a lifetime of interest. Music occupies much of his other free time, playing guitar as a member of a trio that performs at many local venues.
