Matthew E. Fernand serves as Chief Legal Officer of Seritage Growth Properties. He previously served as the Company’s Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Prior to joining Seritage, Mr. Fernand was a partner in Sidley Austin LLP’s Real Estate Group, where he practiced from 2005 to 2015 and focused on the financing, development, acquisition and disposition, and leasing of commercial properties and the formation of real estate joint ventures and partnerships.
