Max Friedman is a Vice President at Banyan Residential, where he is responsible for sourcing new development opportunities and executing Banyan’s active project pipeline. Mr. Friedman most recently served as a Director of Real Estate Investments at Camden Property Trust (NYSE: CPT), a leading U.S. multifamily REIT, where he managed a development pipeline of over 2,000 apartment units in select CA and AZ markets.
Prior to Camden, Max was a Development Associate at Carr Properties, a private office REIT based in Washington, D.C. While at Carr, Mr. Friedman worked on over 3.5 million square feet of mixed-use urban infill developments in DC, MD and VA, including Midtown Center, the sixth-largest office completion in the United States (2018) and the site of the largest private pre-lease in D.C. history (Fannie Mae). Mr. Friedman began his real estate career as a broker at CBRE in Washington.
Max holds a Masters degree in Real Estate Finance from Georgetown University and a BA from the University of Michigan. Mr. Friedman is an active member of Urban Land Institute, and serves as a Big Brother mentor in the BBBS-LA program through the Jewish Federation in Los Angeles.
