A Real Estate professional for over 30 years, Melissa provides integrity and expertise in the real estate industry. Melissa worked with a real estate investment company buying, selling and managing a variety of property types including apartment communities, land, shopping centers, warehouses, and residential properties. Melissa utilizes her natural abilities and remarkable expertise to customize innovative and successful marketing strategies for sellers. She is particularly adept at assessing buyers’ needs and then educating them in the marketplace, enabling full-time, part-time and investment buyers to make a confident purchase decision. Melissa is practically a native of Florida. She grew up in the Miami area, went to college at the University of Florida receiving a BS in Finance with a minor in Economics. Melissa started her Real Estate career while in college. And then found her way to Sanibel over ten years ago. Melissa is a wealth of knowledge of South Florida, both Southwest and Southeast. She intimately knows Naples, Captiva and Sanibel. Having had her children attend and graduate from the Sanibel School and now move on to high school and college, Melissa is also helpful with the various schools in our local community. Melissa first decided to move to Sanibel for the respected “Blue Ribbon” Sanibel School which is a Kindergarten through 8th grade school. However, she quickly feel in love with Sanibel and all the Island has to offer. Melissa has been a huge help to many philanthropies over the years. She is currently the Treasurer of “Community Housing & Resources, Inc.”, the affordable housing provider on Sanibel. Additionally, Melissa is involved with “SanCap Cares” which raises money for the Golisano Children’s Hospital at Healthpark. Professionally, Melissa has been a CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) since 2006, with the Florida Association of Realtors, and the Sanibel – Captiva Association of Realtors. Melissa enjoys Tennis, Yoga, Biking, Swimming, Kayaking and technology. Melissa is a dedicated real estate professional, a Yogi, a Triathlete and an avid computer geek.
