Bio
Growing up in Kenansville, Michael is a native of eastern North Carolina. His grandfather bought a lot on the canal streets in Surf City in the late 70s, so Topsail Island has always been an endearing, life-long second home. Michael currently lives in Hampstead, where he has been a resident since 2003. He enjoys fishing, flounder gigging, boating, and many other sports. He also loves outdoor activities such as camping on the unspoiled coastal islands such as Lea Island. Downtown Wilmington is also one of his favorite places where he enjoys local restaurants and concerts at venues like the beautiful Greenfield Lake Amphitheater. Michael’s knowledge of Topsail Island, Hampstead, Wilmington and the surrounding areas drive his passion to work with real estate clients. Michael has earned Intracoastal Realty’s exclusive Institute Graduate Certification, which is awarded to associates who have furthered their professional real estate education through a comprehensive program of specialized, in-house coursework. The Intracoastal Realty Institute Graduate Certification curriculum includes specialist certification in technology, finance, new home construction, relocation, marketing, and communication skills. Michael attended North Carolina State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree; and several years later, attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington to earn a Master of Business Administration. Prior to earning his real estate license, Michael worked in operations management and quality control where documentation review and accuracy was critical. He has worked with companies such as Durham-based personal care product company, Burt’s Bees; Wilmington-based pharmaceutical development company, AAI Pharma; and a veterinary device manufacturing company, Neogen, in Kenansville, NC. Michael prides himself in his work ethic and integrity. His project background has given him a career’s worth of experience acting as a liaison between customers, vendors and other third parties. Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and accurate data entry have been keystones to Michael’s career and will translate seamlessly in his relationships with clients and their real estate transactions.
