A native Virginian, originally from Newport News, Michael H. "Max" Miller, Jr. first attended St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and Day School and Peninsula Catholic High School. He then attended Elon College, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Corporate Communications. After serving in the United States Army, he performed as an estimator for an electrical contractor, and has been employed with several companies in related fields on the Virginia Peninsula for eight years. In 2002, Max joined Hamner Development Company (HDC) providing property management of the office and industrial properties which it exclusively represents. He also is in charge of the Construction Management Division. Max holds the Virginia Real Estate Salesperson license.
