Your Homes, Investments and Businesses
Mike Moger has been listing and selling real estate since 1984. Specializing in residential homes and investments, he has represented sellers and buyers of single-family homes, condominiums, townhomes, and investment residential real estate in all price ranges, mostly in the eastern half of the state from Colorado Springs to Fort Collins and into the mountains. He has been involved in transactions involving farms and ranches, Bed and Breakfast properties, student housing, luxury homes, new home construction, and rental properties.
Mike has also listed and sold commercial, investment and development real estate. He has sold and leased multiple unit residential property, as well as Bed and Breakfast and accommodations properties, restaurants, retail outlets, office buildings, research and development properties, warehouses, and land for development. In development, he has successfully represented builders and developers in the marketing of finished residential communities and individual home sales.
Mike has been named the Top Producing Agent for calendar year production five times in the offices in which he has worked.
A Proven Leader in the Real Estate Industry
As a volunteer in the industry, Mike has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Association of REALTORS, and as the Vice President of CAR for the NE District. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Boulder Area REALTOR Association, and for BARA has been President, Past President, a member of the Finance and Website Committees, Chairs of the Writers' Circle and Website Committees, and has served as a Vice President for Information Services and Vice President for Member Services. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Commercial Brokers of Boulder.
Knowledge is Critical to Success
Mike has been educated as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and held that designation through 2005. The CCIM designation is earned upon completion of a graduate-level curriculum and attainment of a level of qualifying experience. CCIMs are recognized experts in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation, and investment analysis, and form a business network encompassing markets throughout North America.
In addition to being licensed to list, sell, and lease real estate in Colorado, Mike held a Certified Financial Planner designation, allowing him to advise clients on the taxation of real estate, investment returns, estate planning and trust work in real estate matters, and financing. Although he no longer actively holds that designation, he continues to update himself on significant issues for the benefit of his clients.
Concerned about the level of knowledge in the real estate field, Mike has held classes, seminars, and workshops for both professionals in the industry and the public on such topics as professional planning and time management, real estate investment portfolios, 1031 tax deferred exchanges, trust work in real estate matters, financing, and estate planning with real estate. He currently teaches the GRI classes on Finance, Investment and Management, Contacts to Contracts, Business Planning, Legal Issues and Risk Assessment, and Taxation for Real Estate Professionals.
And in his Spare Time
Mike has for years studied woodworking. In particular, he has practiced building with only the hand tools available to craftsmen up through the late 1800's. His love of music has taken him to building fine hand-crafted acoustic guitars. He has traveled to Nicaragua to teach and nurture a number of guitar builders in the mountains in the north country. Their new skills and knowledge, along with business and financial support, has created an active Guild of Nicaraguan Luthiers and a number of successful shops in a region of great need.
In addition, Mike is trained as a studio voice actor, and is available for commercials, audio books, trailers, narrations and other voice over work.
His work as a professional writer has been published in local and national magazines and sites.
Most Important is the Family
Mike lives in Longmont, Colorado with his wife Lois. Their three children are successfully on their own, making in their own ways a better world for us all. Best of all, they all continue to gather as a family for holidays and special events that they make for themselves throughout the year.
