Mike Movshovich joined Cushman and Wakefield’s Midtown Manhattan office in 2019 as an Executive Managing Director and the New York Lead of the newly formed Alternative Investment Advisory Group. Prior to joining Cushman, Mike spent 12 years at CBRE where he steadily developed his capabilities as strategist, advisor and negotiator over the course of 150 transactions totaling over 2M square feet.
Mike’s diverse list of clients include numerous hedge funds, private equity firms and other boutique private companies many of which have relied on Mike from the launch of their new ventures or spinoff from parent organizations. Mike advises corporate institutions in the media/information, financial services and advertising/PR sectors. In addition to his practice representing tenants, Mike has helped develop and implement leasing strategies on behalf of leading New York City landlords including real estate investment trusts, real estate private equity firms and family offices.

Recent unique transactions include helping an investment firm client uncover a unique investment opportunity during their office space search through an off-market acquisition of a commercial condominium interest in a high-end new development project and subsequently lease it on a long term basis to a Fortune 500 tenant; he also worked with a charter school chaired by a principal of an investment firm client helping to structure an off-market build-to-suit synthetic condominium lease.
Mike lives in Scarsdale with his wife, Yelena, his daughter, Mila, and son, Max . Personal passions include skiing, physical fitness, basketball, tennis and cooking.
