Michael has over 27 years experience in the commercial property market, starting his career
at St Quintin, Leeds office, where he became Partner in charge of the Retail & Leisure
Department.
Following Michael’s departure from St Quintin in 1998, he moved to DTZ Debenham Tie
Leung in Leeds, as Director in charge of the northern region Retail and Leisure Department
and National Head of Out of Town Retail.
In March 2004, Michael left DTZ to jointly set up Pudney Shuttleworth with Richard
Shuttleworth. Specialising in the retail and leisure markets, Michael’s role has been to
concentrate on the out of town retail market.
Dealing with all aspects of the out of town retail market, Michael has been involved in agency
(acquisitions and disposals), development, investment and professional work (rent reviews,
lease renewals, consultancy and public inquiry), throughout the UK, relating to retail
warehouses, retail parks and food stores.
