Michael Richetelli is President and Designated Broker of Colonial Properties, Inc., a role he assumed in 2001. A lifelong resident of the New Haven area, he has been a licensed Realtor since 1996 and possesses extensive experience in Commercial Sales and Leasing, Investment Sales, Property Management, Construction and Development. Prior to working in the Real Estate field, his background was in Management and Sales. As a Broker, he has been awarded several “Deal of the Year” awards by the New Haven Middlesex Association of Realtors (NHMR)- Commercial Investment Division, including the most recent in 2015, for “Retail Sale of the Year”. Under his guidance, Colonial Properties continues to be a leader in both Commercial and Residential brokerage in the area and has seen significant gains in market share over the past several years. Mike focuses on creating an environment at Colonial where the company’s agents can thrive and its clients are satisfied, by providing them with a high level of personal service and professionalism. Michael is originally from Woodbridge and graduated from Amity High School; he holds two bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration from the University of New Haven. Active in both professional and community organizations, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Greater New Haven Association of Realtors and is currently on the Board of the Association’s Commercial Investment Division (CID). He has served on the Board of Directors for the Orange Chamber of Commerce and was President of the Board for two terms; in 2009, he received the Director of the Year award. He currently serves as a Director on the Orange Economic Development Corporation. He is a member of the Orange Rotary Club and held the position of President for 2012-2013 and served as director of the club’s AMBER ALERT Child ID Program. he was also honored by the Club by being named a Paul Harris Fellow, in recognition of the founder of Rotary. He is currently a member of the Knight of Columbus- Holy Infant Council, and Race Brook Country Club. Michael resides in Orange and is active in town affairs; in 2013, he assembled a team of dedicated townspeople to form Independents For Orange (IFO). They nominated a slate of candidates to run for town Boards in that year’s municipal election and had a high level of success, with every candidate setting a new record for votes received for a third-party candidate. Michael is the proud of father of two children. He is an avid Red Sox fan and loves to golf and practice yoga in his spare time. He enjoys living an active lifestyle, committed to health and wellness.
