Bio
Mike Weber joined J.P. Weigand & Sons, Inc. in 2018 at the Newton branch and in 2019 joined the Commercial Division as a
sales and leasing associate, specializing in agricultural and commercial land and assisting with auctions.
For over 25 years, Mike has owned the D’Angelo’s Pizzeria and D’Angelo’s Donuts restaurants in Hesston, and he and his
family owned the Chisholm Trail True Value Hardware in Newton. He was also the Purina Dealer for Harvey County.
Another one of Mike’s small businesses is Bradley’s Bones, a dog bone biscuit company. Adults with disabilities from ResCare
make the bones which are shipped to stores and customers in Texas, Minnesota, Colorado, Florida, and Alabama. The
business is growing every day, providing jobs for people with disabilities, and treating man’s best friends.
Mike has been farming with his family since 1987 and they currently farm approximately 5,000 acres in Harvey, Sedgwick,
and Reno counties, raising corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton, milo and hay. He is growing a small cattle herd with his sons and
nephews and is involved in 4-H with his daughter showing swine.
Mike has been married to his wife, Shirley, for 29 years. They have six children and one granddaughter and live on a farm
south of Hesston. Mike serves on the USD 460 school board and attends St. Mary’s Catholic church in Newton and is an active
member and volunteer.
