Mike Shellow currently serves as a Vice President at Colliers International within its Occupier Services group. Mike serves as the main point of contact to clients, and provides integrated transaction management, account and portfolio management, and strategic and operational planning for them by coordinating company resources across multiple service lines. Furthermore, he develops transactional and operational procedures for implementation. By executing best practices during each stage of a transaction, the enterprise achieves consistency and value. Internally, Mike provides direct supervision and guidance to local brokerage professionals, as well as account managers, transaction managers, financial analysts, marketing specialists, and research analysts, across all business lines within Colliers.
Prior to joining Colliers, Mike spent 9 years at CBRE as a Director within their Advisory & Transaction Services business line, as well as eight years with Cushman & Wakefield as a senior account director for the firm’s Global Occupier Services group. In those capacities, he provided account and transaction management services for corporate clients with complex and high-profile portfolios. He worked directly with clients’ business units, including finance, legal, and design & construction. Mike prepared, recommended, and implemented portfolio-wide transaction strategies for acquiring, and disposing of real estate for portfolios ranging from 5 million to 100 million square feet.
Over his 20-year career, Mike has facilitated more than 800 lease and sale transactions, totaling more than $2.0 billion in total consideration. Clients include Verizon, Warner Bros., AECOM, ADT, Extreme Networks, NXP Semiconductors, First American Title Company, Frontier Communications, Caesarstone, Amgen, Tyco, and Avery.
Mike has also held positions at Arthur Andersen, Prudential Realty Group, and JMB Institutional Realty Advisors.
