Mikus Kins is a capital markets expert who has extensive experience in both domestic and international financial markets working closely with global financial institutions, hedge fund managers, developers and high net worth/institutional investors.
Kins has held senior management positions with some of the largest financial institutions that include: Bank of America Merrill Lynch, LaSalle Bank and ABN/AMRO. He oversaw the Global Securities Solutions Division for Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London which provided a wide range of trust and administration services for both securitized and non-securitized products such as Commercial/Residential Mortgage Backed Securities, CLOs, CDOs and over $60 billion in Total Return Swap portfolios. While in London, Kins also served as a Board Director for Bank of America Trustees, Ltd. In a previous role, Kins helped to develop and launch a revolutionary risk-monitoring product that serviced over 200 funds and $8.5 billion in investment and provided extensive due-diligence, real-time transparency and 24-hour risk monitoring for hedge fund managers, banks and high net worth alternative investors.
Prior to joining Centered RCG, Kins focused on international real estate transactions for RMX Property, a boutique full-service commercial real estate brokerage firm based in Chicago and most recently was the only dedicated commercial real estate broker for the Mag Mile office of Berkshire Hathaway Koenig Rubloff.
Kins currently serves as a Board Member for the Chicago Association of Realtors Global Real Estate Council and received his designation as a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS). Kins received his MBA in Finance: Investment Management with minors in Real Estate and International Business from the Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University where he received the Faculty Award as the top graduating student in the Finance program, as well as, being named to multiple honor societies. His dual BA in International Relations and European History was earned from Brown University. Kins also studied for one semester at The University of Latvia in Riga, Latvia. He is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Illinois, is a Registered Illinois Business Broker and has dual U.S. and E.U. citizenship. Kins’ current philanthropic efforts include serving as Vice President of the Alumni Board for Francis. W Parker School of Chicago. Kins has also been appointed by Illinois Realtors as the Liaison to the Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in Chicago. In addition, Kins is the Co-Founder and President of the Latvian American Chamber of Commerce.
