Bio
Milton is a twenty-nine year veteran of the commercial real estate industry here in Charleston, SC. He began his career with Prudential Carolinas Realty as an associate and quickly rose to run their commercial division for Charleston. In 1999, he and partner, Bob Nuttall, formed Anchor Commercial Real Estate which was a small boutique service provider. Today that company has evolved into Lee & Associates Charleston which is one of the largest and dominant service providers in the greater Charleston market.
Milton leads commercial site selection and build-to-suit projects with integrity and a high degree of expertise and accountability. He has earned a solid reputation in this market by listening to his clients and guarding their interests. Milton gets to know his clients business, their market and their goals, and then he helps them make wise decisions. This consultative approach has helped Milton become successful in development activities under various partnerships and corporations. His project history is wide and varied, and includes site selection and total project management for:
Warehousing and distribution facilities up to 117,000 SF
Numerous industrial parks
Office buildings ranging from 8,000 SF to 66,000 SF
A multiple subdivision development to include a 300-lot neighborhood for Beazer Homes
Multifamily development
Milton's asset management experience includes oversight of numerous partnership holdings, as well as third-party work. He received his CCIM designation (Certified Commercial Investment Member) in 1998. Only the top 5% of commercial brokers in the country achieve this designation. His training, industry experience, knowledge of the local market, commitment to accountability and integrity bring substantial value to his customers.
Milton has served his community over the years, often placed in leadership positions. In his early thirties, he was elected Junior Warden at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Summerville. Milton would later be named to lead two multi-million dollar building programs at the church. He served on several other boards, including the executive committee of First Citizens Bank, Summerville, the Downtown Restoration and Enhancement Management Board of Summerville (DREAM), and the Junior Achievement Board of Coastal South Carolina. He recently completed a six year term of service on the board of directors of the Summerville YMCA.
