Monica comes to their team from Clemons Real Estate and has over five years of experience helping clients in the commercial real estate sector. She brings an energetic collaboration style to every interaction and creates mutually beneficial outcomes for buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants. Her vast career experience gives a unique, strategic perspective on the importance of relationships and determination to efficiently manage successful transactions.
As an investor and landlord herself, Monica understands the industry benefits and challenges from all angles. Valuing transparency, honesty and integrity above all else, Monica excels at helping clients align their goals with tangible opportunities. She specializes in investment sales, and both office and retail leasing. In her time at Clemons Real Estate, she worked primarily with local investors on adaptive reuse by selling and leasing Kansas City’s renovated historic buildings.
Monica was recognized in 2021 as a KCBJ Commercial Real Estate Heavy Hitter and a WIRED (Women in Real Estate Development) Top Performer. She is a licensed real estate agent in Missouri and Kansas. Monica holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and a Master’s of Social Work from Washington University.
A life-long resident of Kansas City, Monica is intimately familiar with the urban and suburban metro area’s ever changing landscape and has a deep knowledge of the trade area. Monica currently serves on the board for Midtown KC Now. Prior to 2018, Monica spent 15 years in fundraising and leadership at local, national and international nonprofit organizations raising millions of dollars for critical programming and research.
Monica lives in Johnson County with her husband, Sam, and stays busy with their two kids’ sports and music activities and playing with their cattle dog mutt, Izzy.
